Immigration

I come from a family of immigrants, my parents and sisters were born in Mexico and migrated about 26 years ago, I was the only one born here in New York. This country has given my family a better life and great things but they've also had to work very hard at it and it wasn't easy for them to become citizens. Before my parents became citizens they were filling with a lawyer that mislead them and they lost so much money because she wasn't filling the papers the right way. They then got a great lawyer that helped them fix the errors the last lawyer did and luckily they weren't deported because of her. But finally two years ago they were able to fix their situation after so long and losing hope so many times. It was also very hard for my sisters when they were trying to get into college with no papers but luckily they were able to fix their situation before my parents did. I am very proud that my family was able to fix their papers and now can go in and out of this country with no problem.

I think that all immigrants that haven't been able to fix their situation shouldn't lose faith because I know it's not easy but it's also not impossible because like my family they went through everything but still were able to get them.
