Should the drinking age be lowered?

I think the drinking age should changed to 18 for many reasons. One of them being that so many teenagers do drink even though its illegal. Also so many people always say that at 18 you can serve for the military and have the right to vote why can't you buy alcohol and it is very true and it doesn't make sense. There's also so many other countries that their drinking age is lower and they have less underage alcohol related problems so maybe by lowering it, it may help increase underage drinking. And also by lowering it, 18 year olds will be drinking in public places so it will be supervised. If the legal drinking age were to be 18, colleges would be able to regulate alcohol use so students don’t get overly intoxicated. They can be monitored whereas when they are hiding and drinking you can’t really go sniffing their cups or making false accusations. This will also help

So I STRONGLY believe the drinking age should change for good reasons.

I read an article about a 15 year old boy drinking with his father and stepmother and lost consciousness and died 10 days later. I strongly believe that even though he was very young if they lowered the drinking age teenagers and adults will be more responsible and know their drinking limit. I also read another article in USA today about most teen drinking deaths aren't traffic related. It talks about how many parents are aware of the dangers from teenage drinking and driving but aren't as educated about all the dangers that drinking before age 21 can be related to. I think that if they were to lower the drinking age parents will want to be fully educated on the dangers and make sure that their kids are aware that they can drink but to a certain limit.
It has been proven that in Europe where drinking age is lower than 21 there is less accidents than in the US where the age is 21.
